The Challenge

Originally named Bishop Binding Co, the client was stuck in a niche and lacked a resonating value proposition to captivate new customers. Their quiver of products went beyond bindings, to include skis and apparel. With an array of logos in play and shotgun messaging being generated for every new marketing venture, the brand had become diluted and confusing.

The Solution

The name “Bishop” was already associated with high quality products among skiers, so we axed the “Binding Co” qualifier to accommodate new product development. Then, we zeroed in on a tone and persona that embodied the brand, bringing boldness and consistency to the message. The final phase was to design graphics and collateral that echoed the “badassery” of Bishop.

  • Record preseason sales after the brand launch
